The Haryana Housing Board was established in 1971 to construct houses for socially and economically weaker sections of society in Haryana at affordable rates. The Haryana Housing Board (HHB) is responsible for providing affordable and quality housing to the citizens of Haryana and has implemented several housing schemes over the years to fulfil its mandate. 

One of the popular schemes implemented by the Haryana Housing Board is the affordable housing scheme. Under this scheme, people belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIG), and Middle-Income Groups (MIG) are provided affordable homes at affordable rates.

Under the Haryana Housing Board Housing Scheme 2023, the HHB planned to construct and sell homes in different parts of the state. The homes are sold via a lottery system and are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Factors such as location, cost of construction, and the unit’s size are taken into consideration while determining the price of these houses.

Haryana Housing Board Scheme: Eligibility Criteria

  • It is mandatory for an applicant to be a permanent resident of Haryana
  • The applicant should not have ownership of any plot/house allotted by Housing Board Haryana in the last ten years.
  • The annual income criteria for the Economically weaker section (EWS) is up to 1 lac per year. For Low-income group (LIG), the income should be between 1 lacs to 2 lacs per annum; for Middle-income group (MIG), the income should be between 2 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs per annum, and for HIG the annual income should be above that.

  • The scheme has been launched at separate locations in Haryana to give applicants multiple choices in properties to select from. 
  • Following submission, the Haryana Housing Board reviews the application.
  • Applicants are given a specific time window to rectify any issues in the application.
  • Waiting lists will not be issued.

The steps you need to follow to apply online for Haryana Housing Board New Scheme are:

  • Visit the official website of the Haryana Housing Board New Scheme
  • On the homepage select “Booking Open.” Once this is done, a new page will open.
  • Click ‘Register Here’ 
  • A registration Form will open in front of you on your screen.
  • Fill this form with all the required details like; the applicant’s name, full name of the applicant, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number and email.
  • Next, choose your birthdate and gender. Enter the applicant’s correspondence address and upload the proof of residence.
  • Now, fill in the beneficiary’s overall family income and service rank. Upload the applicant’s identification proof, photo, and proof of service ID.
  • Following this, create a candidate’s login ID and password and fill in the check box with the declaration.
  • In order to complete the online application and move on to the next page, click the submit tab at the end.
  • Fill out the remaining fields on this form to complete your registration, then submit it.
  • You then have to complete an OTP verification. Now, you can login using the old set password as password and email id as user id.
  • Select the payment option, whether to make the payment by UPI, NEFT, debit card, or net banking.
  • View the payment receipt that includes the applicant’s details, then save a screenshot for your records.
  • A new page will open. 
  • Click ‘Payment’ and select a payment method (Net Banking, Debit Card, NEFT, UPI)
  • After paying the initial registration fee, get a receipt.

  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Proof of residential address.
  • A passport size photograph
  • Permanent mobile number of the applicant.
  • For EWS and LIG category applicants submit income certificate

Procedure for Allotment:

  • The Haryana Housing Board makes allotments through an online draw. The time and date of the draw is usually communicated to the application through SMS and email.
  • Post-selection, plots and applications would be checked by the Board.
  • In case there are any errors in the application, the applicant would be informed and will get time for updating.
  • The allotment of flats is done on the basis of rules outlined in the Housing board Haryana Act 1971.
  • On successful allotment, the successful candidates need to pay 60% of the level costs within 100 days from the issuance of the letter of possession.
